What sets Besucona apart

Handcrafted Across Mexico

Each piece carries the traditions and knowledge passed down through generations of artisans.

Fairly Valued

Every purchase supports the artisans and communites behind each piece.

Mexico is not one story. It is hundreds. Each region carries its own traditions. Each ethnic group its own artistic expressions. Each technique the memory of cultures whose roots run deep into history.

Besucona was born from a desire to honor that complexity. Not to simplify it. Not to reduce it to a single aesthetic. But to bring it — in its full richness — beyond Mexico's borders, into the hands of people who appreciate art, history, and the irreplaceable value of things made by hand.

Invite authentic, ethically crafted Mexican artistry into your home.

The woman behind Besucona

I grew up in the Totonac heartland of Veracruz, home to El Tajín, one of Mexico's oldest pre-colonial ceremonial centers. That proximity to living history shaped my eye from an early age.

Traveling and living in different countries gave me a new perspective. I saw how the world values craftsmanship and knew Mexico's artisans deserved that same recognition.

Besucona is my answer to that. Every piece sourced directly. Every artisan paid what their work is truly worth. No bargains. No exceptions.

“Every piece we carry is a conversation, traditions passed through the artisan’s hands, Mexico’s colors, and the warmth of its people.”
Alejandrina Sanders, Founder

The Story Behind the Name

Besucona takes its name from a small, pinkish lizard native to Mexico, known for the distinctive sound it makes, reminiscent of blowing kisses. Beso means kiss in Spanish. Besucona, the one who kisses.

Authentic, unique, and entirely Mexican. Just like the brand.

For your home. For your business. For a gift worth giving.

Whether you are a boutique buyer, a restaurant owner, an interior designer, or someone who simply wants something beautiful and meaningful...Besucona is for you.
